Since it's Monday, it's time for another edition of the Weekend Roundup!
Friday: Picked up our little hedgie from the vet after his eye removal. He's doing great (I'll get my wife to send pictures to me as I've been giving him medicine and didn't have enough hands to take a picture too) and is recovering nicely.
Saturday: Homework, again. Sometimes I wonder why I'm going to school. Anyway, my wife has been craving steamer clams for a couple weeks. I'm not a seafood fan, but I gathered up my best Jacques Pepin/Alton Brown techniques and came out with this (it's an aftermath picture):
Apparently I didn't do too bad for my first time making clams. I also made steak and corn on the cob.
Sunday: We had a late birthday party for my daughter at a roller skating rink. Not a huge crowd in the rink, but I did all the prep and setup, and even got the damned goody bags for 5 girls and two boys done on my own (Hotwheels for the boys, Monster High stuff for the girls), as well as glow necklaces/bracelets/crowns. The glow stuff went over really well and I did it as a two fold thing. "Where are the kids?" Look for the glow "jewelry".
Not a lot of car related stuff this weekend. Got bombarded with homework so I didn't make a couple meets I was going to go to, and I didn't drive Grimace at all until today.
